Hi, I'm Gwen, the founder of Miamora Magazines.
One of my favourite memories from planning our wedding wasn't choosing a venue or picking decorations.
It was looking through years of old photos together.
Not because the photos were particularly amazing, but because every single one seemed to unlock a story we'd forgotten about. Before we knew it, we'd spent hours laughing about moments we hadn't thought about in years.
And that's when I realised something.
Many of the people coming to celebrate our wedding didn't really know the full story of us.
Some of my husband's family had only met me a handful of times. Some of my family barely knew him. Everyone knew where we'd ended up, but not necessarily the journey that got us there.
The funny stories. The little moments. The people, places and memories that shaped our relationship.
I found myself wishing there was a way to share all of that.
That's where Miamora began.
I've spent years working in creative industries, and I've always loved stories. How people met, what makes them laugh, who matters most to them, and the moments that make their lives uniquely theirs.
Since becoming a parent, I've become even more aware of how quickly time moves. One day, I hope my child picks up our wedding magazine and asks:
"What was Mum like before she was Mum?"
And suddenly a simple magazine becomes something much more than paper and photographs. It becomes a conversation, a memory, and a story being passed on.
That's what Miamora means to me.
It's not really about weddings.
It's about people, memories, and the moments that make life so special.
